About these terms

These terms govern the use of grooming services provided by Paws and Scissors at Czerwonego Krzyża 63, 85-338 Bydgoszcz, Poland. By booking a service, you agree to these terms.

Booking and appointments

All appointments are by request. A booking is confirmed only when we have explicitly confirmed it in writing (email or message). We reserve the right to decline a booking if we determine the service is not appropriate for the animal in question.

Please arrive on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late without prior notice, we may need to reschedule, and the appointment slot may be forfeited.

Cancellations

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the agreed service price. Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in pre-payment being required for future bookings.

Pricing

Prices are confirmed before the session begins, based on the animal's breed, size, and coat condition as described at the time of booking. If the actual condition on the day differs significantly from what was described (e.g., significant matting not mentioned), we will advise on any price adjustment before proceeding. We will not start work on a price change you have not agreed to.

Health and veterinary conditions

You must inform us at the time of booking of any health conditions, skin conditions, allergies, medications, recent surgery, or behavioural issues that may affect the grooming session. We reserve the right to stop a session if an animal shows signs of distress, illness, or a condition that makes continued grooming unsafe or uncomfortable. In such cases, a partial charge may apply for work completed.

We are not a veterinary service. If we notice anything during the session that may warrant veterinary attention, we will inform you — but this is an observation, not a diagnosis.

Animal welfare

We will not continue a session when an animal is clearly distressed and unable to be settled. We will not use restraint methods that cause pain. We do not shave double-coated breeds. If our approach to a specific situation differs from your instructions, we will discuss it with you — but we will not act against our professional judgement when it involves animal welfare.

Liability

We take professional care with every animal. In the rare event of an injury occurring during a session, we will document it and inform you immediately. Our liability is limited to direct damages caused by negligence on our part. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions that become apparent during grooming, or for reactions to products that you did not inform us about contraindications for.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bydgoszcz.
